HIFO matching: The walker uses HIFO (Highest-In, First-Out) lot identification — it consumes the most expensive long lot first when closing. This minimizes interim realized gain and matches Robinhood's typical broker-side lot accounting. Per-year totals will differ from FIFO mid-position; lifetime totals converge once all lots close.
